Gnome X Scanning Microscopy (GXSM) is an open source data acquisition and visualization system designed for SPM techniques (STM,AFM..) by a community of surface scientist under the GNU general public license. Based on several hardware options it supports commercially available DSP hardware in a most flexible and adaptable manner. A hardware specially designed to make the most of GXSM is available (SignalRanger from SoftDB).
GXSM is currently spreading in the scientific SPM community and there is a clear demand for training on its implementation and practice. We organized, jointly with the CNRS network of scanning probe microscopists RéMiSoL, a tutorial workshop on all these aspects of GXSM. To this aim, SPCSI platform made available a UHV STM and a SignalRanger electronic controler. The tutorial will be directed by Hubert Klein (CINAM, Marseille) on Dec. 12-13 2013 at the SPCSI (Bât 462 CEA-Saclay), and will gather participants from:
Welcome to all participants from the NanoSaclay Labex! Information / Registration by mail to Fabrice Charra (IRAMIS/SPCSI).
