The Laboratoire des Solides Irradiés (LSI) in Polytechnique is searching for a candidate for a 6-months internship, entitled “Investigation on influence of treatment of PVDF polymers to improve the piezoelectric response". At LSI and ENSTA, the candidate will have access to different experimental set-ups allowing notably measurements of the piezoelectric voltage output and tensile test. He/She will benefit of an existing collaborative network with other engineer schools (ENSTA, CentraleSupelec).

Le Laboratoire Interdisciplinaire sur l'Organisation Nanométrique et Supramoléculaire (LIONS) du CEA offre un stage de M2 sur "l'étude expérimentale de l'effet du flux hydrodynamique sur la conformation de protéines absorbées sur des nanoparticules."  L'objectif de ce stage de 6 mois est de développer une méthodologie pour apprécier le rôle du flux et du cisaillement sur le couple nanoparticules/protéines en combinant différentes techniques analytiques.

Proposition de thèse, à l'ISMO dans le cadre du projet BOGART, projet Flagship du LabEx NanoSaclay.  Titre : Molécules Individuelles pour les technologies quantiques Résumé : Les molécules organiques adsorbées sur une surface de semiconducteur offrent de nombreuses perspectives pour réaliser de véritables nano-machines moléculaires ayant différentes fonctions électroniques (mémoires, fonctions logiques), optiques (nanosources de photons) ou mécaniques (moteurs).

Proposition de thèse, au SPEC ans le cadre du projet SPiCY, projet Flagship du LabEx NanoSaclay.  Titre : Ultrafast spintronics Résumé : This PhD work here aims at assessing the potential of new spintronic components at the picosecond timescale. It will tackle three topics. The first one concerns spintronic THz emitters in which spin current bursts will be studied in detail in order to unveil the relevant physical quantities responsible for an efficient THz emission.

Proposition de thèse, à l'UMPhy dans le cadre du projet SPiCY, projet Flagship du LabEx NanoSaclay.  Titre : topological insulators/magnetic systems for spin-charge conversion Résumé : The PhD work is on spin to charge current conversion study from a BiSb topological insulator. A large effort will be dedicated to MBE growth aiming at the control of structural and electronic interfacial properties of new TI/Ferromagnetic heterostructures.   Three laboratories will be mainly involved in the PhD work addressing this topic.

Le Laboratoire Interdisciplinaire sur l'Organisation Nanométrique et Supramoléculaire (LIONS) du CEA offre un stage de M2 en chimie des matériaux sur la "Fabrication de surfaces omniphobes". L'objectif est de fabriquer, par adsorption ou greffages de molécules adaptées, des surfaces omniphobes, c'est à dire capables de laisser glisser des gouttes d'eau ou d'huile sous l'action d'un stimulus faible. Proposition de thèse, du projet BISON, financé par le LabEx NanoSaclay dans le cadre de son appel à projets "Recherche" 2018 Title: Investigation of charge to spin current conversion with the BiSb topological insulator Summary: The project will focus on BiSb material. A critical part will be the growth of a magnetic material on it while preserving the 2DSS. Spacer layer with long spin relaxation time or thin tunneling barrier can be explored.

Proposition de thèse, du projet EMPPROS, financé par le LabEx NanoSaclay dans le cadre de son appel à projets "Recherche" 2018 Title: Ultrafast multiphotonic processes in plasmonic nanoparticles Summary: the main goal of the PhD is to study through experiments and modelling the fundamental physical and physico-chemical multiphotonic processes induced in and around gold nanoparticles by ultrashort laser pulses, as well as the role played by the plasmon mode in these processes.
